Fighting for Businesses Small and Large!
One of the most valuable, and often overlooked functions of a chamber is being an advocate for the business community. The Chamber works to represent the collective voice of the business community. Whether it's setting legislative goals, working with our lobbyist, sending out Action Alerts or keeping voters informed through our forums, the goal is ensuring an environment where business can prosper.

Fennimore Craig, one of the premier lobbying firms, is contracted to work with the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce to support the collective interests of businesses in the West Valley!
We sponsor candidate forums because we believe people have a right to know what their candidates for public office say about issues that affect our business community.
Meet Your Elected Officials
One way we increase awareness about the business agenda is meeting with elected officials. These activities provide an excellent opportunity for the Chamber to develop or strengthen relationships with elected officials! These activities provide participants with an opportunity to develop relationships with individuals who may be in positions to make decisions affecting their companies, employees, and industry. Developing relationships early with an elected official is a real help in influencing future public policy decisions.
Annual Legislative Agenda
Our Legislative Agenda makes it clear what our business community expects from their elected officials… removing obstacles to job creation and supporting economic growth.
West Valley Caucus
The West Valley Caucus is a bipartisan group of legislators, mayors, and chambers of commerce. The purpose of the Caucus is to work together with the Mayors, Cities, and Chambers of Commerce in the West Valley to understand the issues impacting our area and bring solutions and support for our economic growth and vitality of the region.
The Surprise Regional Chamber is here to help YOU take action. An Action Alert is a message that the Chamber sends to almost 4,000 businesses, members and stakeholders, calling on them to take action to influence public policy. Typically, action alerts are in reference to a timely issue, where prompt action is needed in order to affect upcoming decisions.
Annual Business Climate Survey
Identifying current trends and emerging issues to improve the business climate. Since 2015 the Chamber’s Business Climate Survey has served to take an annual pulse check on the business environment in El Mirage, Sun City, Sun City West, Surprise, and Youngtown. The purpose of the Business Climate Survey is to proactively connect with existing businesses to understand their needs and concerns. The data collected helps the Chamber monitor trends, identify emerging issues, make program changes, and helps us to prioritize our legislative agenda. Information is shared with elected official and other community stakeholders.
Harnessing the Power of the Unified Voice of the Business Community
The Surprise Regional Chamber Commerce collaborates* with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the largest and most influential lobbying group in America! Also working with the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and the West Valley Chamber of Commerce Alliance we are able rally resources and mobilize around common issues giving our Chamber a louder voice at all levels of government.
Though you might not find the time to attend our events or participate in programs, you can take comfort in knowing the Chamber is working diligently on behalf of your business.
