
USE OF CHAMBER NAME AND SYMBOLS
Overview
Overview
- Guidelines for the use of the “Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce” name and other identities on commercial websites and other communications vehicles.
- These guidelines apply to the names and symbols of the Chamber its programs, events, activities, groups, etc.
- As a rule, the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce names, trademarks, symbols, logos, or images should not appear on commercial websites or other commercial communications vehicles. The Chamber vigorously protects its reputation, names, identity, logos, and images from unauthorized use.
- At no time may the use of the Chamber’s name(s) or symbol(s) imply or state endorsement of any products, services, candidates or organization. As a matter of practice, the Chamber does not permit endorsements of any kind through the use of its names, identities, logos or images.

Content Use By Chamber Members
Only current members in good standing of the Chamber of Commerce are permitted to reprint articles and information from www.surpriseregionalchamber.com subject to the following conditions:
- Reprint permission is granted for one year only and one-time use only. If reprinted on a website, permission is granted for one year only.
- Separate permission is required for each use, whether print use or web use.
- Any use of the above-referenced articles, other copyrighted material, or any portion thereof will be a true and exact reproduction of the text in English and an accurate translation.
- Separate permission is required for reuse of photographs and graphics.
- The reprinted material is not to be presented in any form that would create the impression that the Chamber of Commerce supports or endorses any individual, company or organization, its products, or the theories and conclusions espoused in a publication.

Content Use By Non-Chamber Members
Non-members of the Chamber of Commerce may only reprint articles and information from www. SurpriseRegionalChamber.com (the website) and subject to the following conditions:
- Payment in advance of $200 per article to the Chamber.
- Reprint permission is granted for one year only and one-time use only. If reprinted on a Web site, permission is granted for one year only.
- Separate permission is required for each use, whether print use or web use.

Members must agree to comply with the following usage rules:
Policy Enforcement
The Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to terminate or modify permission to display the Logos at any time. The Chamber reserves the right to take action against any user who fails to conform to these policies, infringes any Chamber of Commerce intellectual property or other rights, or violates other applicable law.
Chamber staff will notify the violators of this policy and the details of the specific violation in writing a formally requesting compliance with Chamber policy. If the matter is not resolved, staff will refer the matter to the Chamber CEO for review. If the Chamber CEO deems a violation has occurred, will refer the matter to legal counsel for review and additional action.
Members must agree to comply with the following usage rules:
- The PROUD MEMBER Logos (“the Logo” or “Logos”) may only be used by a Chamber member in good standing who is not past due on membership dues.
- The user acknowledges that the Logo is a certification mark owned by the Chamber of Commerce.
- The user may not use the Logo as a trademark, i.e., the Logo may not be used to identify the source of goods and/or services offered by the user.
- You may not alter or re-create the Logo in any manner.
- The Logo must be used as-is, and the user may not incorporate any other wording or designs into the Logo.
- You may not display the Logo in any way that disparages the Chamber of Commerce or its products or services.
- If the Logo is posted on an chamber member’s Web site, it must have an active link to the Chamber home page, http://www.Surprise RegionalChamber.com
- The Logo may be used on a member’s: Letterhead, Business cards, Web site and in printed materials referencing the chamber’s membership status.
