The Chamber has many vehicles that allow for a business to promote and market their business. Some businesses what to sell their product or service directly through the Chamber, or use the Chamber brand and name recognition to generate sales for their business either directly or indirectly. Companies wishing to market their business, gain exposure in the business commuinty or enhance their image should consider one of the many sponsorship and advertising packages offered by the Chamber.
Because the Chamber’s name and reputation is our most valued asset, along with relationships with our members and the business community, the Chamber requires each proposal to be evaluated carefully.

- Businesses who wish access the Chamber's business lists or use the Chamber's name/reputation/Logo to leverage additional sales
- Programs, activities, etc. where the Chamber receives less than 95% of the gross proceeds
- Learning/educational programs where the hosting company has a product or service directly related to the learning/educational being presented
- Profit Sharing ventures: Visitor guides, maps, relocation guides, travel/tour packages

Summary Guidelines
Because of the high volume of partnership requests, the following guidelines have been developed to protect individuals, organizations and corporations hosting programs to benefit the Chamber or it’s members. For a more details about our policies see the bottom of this page.
- The Third Party is responsible for all event coordination, marketing/promotion and sales. The Chamber is not in position to promote your product or service on your behalf.
- The percentage of proceeds that will benefit the Chamber is not confidential, and will be disclosed to the prospect/buyer on all solicitations.
- A third party may not use the name, reputation, logo or other marks of the Chamber as a sales tools to generate sales , unless a significant portion of the proceeds benefit the Chamber.
- Offerings with a minimum cash guarantee to the Chamber will receive priority consideration.
- Any use of the Chamber logo or name must be approved by the Chamber. Any contact with press or other media involving the Chamber, must be coordinated with the Chamber.
- The Third party agrees to inform the Chamber of their solicitation and marketing plans.
- The minimum guaranteed payment must be paid prior to commencement of the activity.
- The Chamber cannot be held liable for details associated directly or indirectly with the activity, including but not limited to, expenses, purchases, insurance or liability coverage.
- The Chamber must receive a list sales including contact name, addresses, email and phone and specific dollar amounts of the gross sales and percentage going to Chamber.
Chamber Participation
1. If an event/program is approved, we may provide our logo for promotional material.
2. The Chamber is unable to assist in solicitations, donations, managing mailings, attending committee meetings, recruiting attendees or collecting monies.
3. Due to limited resources, the Chamber cannot guarantee attendance or participation of members, volunteers, board members or staff.
4. The Chamber does not solicit it's members or the business community for third party event and we will not share the our customer and prospect list with third parties.

Third-Party Event Policies

The Chambers brand pillars consist of Impeccable Trust, Universal Respect, Advocate for Business and a Pillar of the Community. These guidelines reinforce or values and our brand promises.
The Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce encourages individuals, organizations, and companies to conduct events, profit-sharing ventures and donation drives to benefit the mission of the Chamber. Any individual, organization or business (outside of Chamber) that organizes and hosts an event, promotion, sale, or donation drive on behalf of Chamber is defined as a “third-party Fundraiser.” Typically all Third Parties are responsible for all event coordination, marketing/promotion, and sales.
In order to enhance the success of third party fundraising events/programs and to avoid conflicts with Chamber’s members, donors, corporate sponsors, or other events already planned, the following policies should be observed:

Any individual, organization or business (outside of Chamber) that organizes and hosts an event, promotion, sale, or donation drive on behalf of Chamber is defined as a “third-party Fundraiser.” Typically all Third Parties are responsible for all event coordination, marketing/promotion, and sales.
In order to enhance the success of third party fundraising events/programs and to avoid conflicts with Chamber’s members, donors, corporate sponsors, or other events already planned, the following policies should be observed:
- The third-party must submit a Third Party Event Application to Chamber’s Development Department at least 90 days in advance of the proposed event date. If multiple events are proposed, a proposal must be submitted for each.
- If Chamber staff time or resources, the third-party fundraiser must demonstrate – through a preliminary revenue and expense budget – minimum net revenue of $5,000. Due to a large number of requests received, Chamber is typically not able to provide staff to attend or support third-party activities nor is it able to provide staff to coordinate volunteers but is happy to provide appropriate informational material for third party’s use.
- Third-party proposals must be financially self-sustaining without contribution from or financial risk to Chamber. Chamber will only accept the net proceeds of a third party event. All third-party event expenses are the responsibility of the third-party event organizer and must be paid before net proceeds are given to Chamber. Refunds or reimbursements of third-party event expenses will not be available.
- Third-party organizers should not provide tax advice to third-party event contributors. Organizers should refer individuals to tax or legal counsel for information. Third-party may not use the Chamber’s non-profit tax id number.
- The third-party event organizer is responsible for all vendor agreements, contracts, insurance and necessary permits for the event. Chamber will not assume any liability for a third-party event, including liability for any injuries sustained by third-party event volunteers or participants related to an event benefiting Chamber.
- The third-party is responsible for its own marketing, including writing and distributing press releases, PSA’s, Facebook postings, invitations, ads, etc. A third party may not solicit on behalf of the Chamber, or in any way imply they are representatives of the Chamber.
- The third-party fundraiser must submit all publicity and promotional material containing Chamber’s name and/or logo to Chamber’s Development Department for review and approval prior to publication and distribution of these materials. Please allow Chamber staff five (5) business days to review these materials. PLEASE NOTE: Third-party events that are approved by Chamber will be allowed to post items on the Chamber calendar of events.
- Chamber is the beneficiary – not a sponsor – of third-party fundraising events. Promotional materials that use Chamber’s name should incorporate the following statement: “ xx % of the Proceeds to benefit the Surprise Regional Chamber of Commerce.”
- All sponsor solicitations for the event must be approved by and coordinated with Chamber’s Development Department before approaching any individual, corporation or foundation for this purpose.
- Chamber will not approve a third-party event if it requires the sale or endorsement of a product or service.
- Chamber retains the right to decline any event if it conflicts with its mission, fundraising/programing efforts, or event calendar.
- Chamber will not approve a third-party event request if it promotes a political party, candidate, or potential candidate.
- Chamber may cancel a third-party event/program or disassociate with a third-party event at any time if these Third-Party Policies are not satisfied.
